We are open!
We’re good to go and excited to welcome you all back to The Climbing Experience. NIBAS courses, Fun Wall sessions, boulder inductions and refresher classes are all now available to book here. Please read through the following information before you plan to visit. Our cafe is now fully operational and we are serving customers both indoors and in our new outside seating area (weather permitting). Group exercise classes are back, so if you’re interested in joining one of our studio classes please click here.
We offer regular COVID tests to all members of staff to ensure the safety of you and our team.
1. You don’t need to book to boulder
Our maximum capacity is 150 climbers. We have a live counter on this page, so you can always check how busy we are before you visit! To make sure we have an accurate capacity count, we’ll need you to check out at reception when you leave, as well as checking in as normal. We will be reserving some spaces for members.
2. Book Fun Wall sessions as normal
In order to ensure the safety of visitors and staff, we’ll be limiting our Fun Wall capacity to 12. We may make exceptions if your group falls within government guidelines, so if this applies to you, give us a call and we can book you in.
3. Showers are closed
Our changing rooms are open but are likely to get full quickly so please arrive in the clothes that you intend to climb in where possible.
4. Hand sanitising stations will be on entry and exit
They will also be available to use throughout the centre. We are encouraging the use of liquid chalk, and ask that you sanitise hands in between climbs. We will be offering liquid chalk hire instead of loose chalk to reduce risk.
5. Stay at home if you’re feeling unwell
If you’ve made a booking and need to cancel in order to self-isolate, please give us a call!
6. Only climb in groups of 6 or two household groups.
From May 17th, it has been possible for groups of 6, or two household groups to socialise indoors. Please stick to this limit when planning your visit. Exceptions are made for our group courses.
7. We’ve introduced a one-way system
The system is clearly marked, please follow the signs on the floor to help everyone in their social distancing efforts.
Memberships were frozen when we closed. Any days you had left on your membership will remain on your account. Your membership can be restarted anytime you want.
9. We’ve made some temporary changes to our opening times
Please check before you visit that we’ll be open!
