Climbed Before? Here's what we can offer...
Variety of walls
Alongside our 30 metre competition bouldering wall we offer a huge range of wall features including: an arch, a roof section, a top out boulder and, of course, plenty of slab!
Our mezzanine area offers a space to ease yourself into the session and our traverse wall helps train endurance. There’s something for everyone at G13 bouldering gym, whether you’re a climber with years if experience, or you’re just discovering your new favourite hobby.
We reset a section of wall in the gym each week, and have a variety of holds from both big names and up and coming brands.
Our setting style encompasses both old-school technical moves and modern comp-style boulder problems. We create routes for a variety of grades, from our intro circuit that everyone can jump on to 7C boulder problems within our hardest circuit.
The Griptonite app helps you track your progress, while our MoonBoard enables you to track your level wherever you’re bouldering next.
Upgraded Training facilities
For those all important training days, G13 bouldering gym is packed full of the latest training equipment. We have a campus board area with a range of shapes and sizes, a weights gym for strength and conditioning and rowing machine to help with full-body fitness. Hang-boarding part of your routine? No problem, we are full equipped with a range of fingerboards and our Beastmakers are upgraded with the motherboard training system.
From private lessons to NIBAS courses, our instructor’s are passionate about helping people reach their climbing potential.
If you’ve hit a plateau, or feel you could improve with the help of a coach, we’re here to help you get the most from our bouldering gym.
The boring bits...
what you need to know before using our bouldering gym
If you’ve bouldered before you can just turn up! No need to book. You’ll need to register with us (which you can do online to save time when you arrive) and then we’ll ask you a few short safety questions.
Under 18s must have their registration form filled out by a parent or legal guardian.
You need to be over the age of 5 to use our bouldering areas, and over the age of 16 to boulder unsupervised. Adults who’ve bouldered before or done an induction with us can supervise up to 2 minors or novices.
If you haven’t climbed before – don’t worry! We offer adult inductions or family tasters, and will get you safely scaling our walls in no time.
We’re more than just climbing!
Aside from our quality coaching, exciting bouldering problems, and great facilities, The Climbing Experience is a social hub. We host regular socials and events, from our popular women’s social to hosting guest climbing workshops.
The Social Climber Cafe is a home away from home for our community, offering a space to relax and unwind after a session. Whether you’re looking for a coffee to fuel your climbing, a beer to celebrate afterwards, or one of our delicious stone-baked sourdough pizzas if you’ve really worked up an appetite, our cafe is here for everyone.
